Noble Hill Viognier 2009

Other recent vintages:  2016   2015   2014   2013   Complete list

Like a beautiful blonde with an astrophysics PhD, our Viognier is a pleasure to behold but isn't afraid to show its substance.

Viticulture

Origin Paarl. Planted in well-drained Duplex soil containing granite. 6 tons/ ha harvested at 24.5°B.

Winemaking

100% Viognier. Sorted, lightly crushed, and placed in French oak barrels for 3 months. pH 3.45, Alc. 14.0%, Sugar 2.5 g/l, Acid 7.0 g/l.

Tasting Notes

Pale straw with a golden hue. Exuberant kiwi and apricot aromas. Clean and creamy palette. Lightly wooded (6 months) with subtle notes of apricot and kiwi. This clean and creamy wine pairs gracefully with poultry or fish but doesn't lose its luster with red meats.
