Our wines  Wine-growing philosophy

We follow a regenerative organic farming philosophy and make delicate, fresh wines with mineral structure. We hope you can taste the granite character of our soils in every glass!

Estate wine

Estate wine is grown, made, and bottled on a single contiguous property. We grow the grapes for all of our wines on our farm. We don’t purchase grapes from other growers or other regions to make our wines. Estate wine is important to us because it underlines our commitment to expressing terroir in our wines.

By working withe the same vineyards over many vintages, we develop intuition about the latent strengths and characteristics of each batch that we pick.

Regenerative organic farming

Our farming philosophy arises naturally from making estate wine. Because our grapes grow annually from the same vines, it's vital to maintain and improve the natural ecosystem in our vineyards. Organic farming means that we don’t use any pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic chemicals in our vineyards. Regenerative farming means that we rehabilitate degraded areas, set aside land for wilderness, and support the development of holistic ecosystems encompassing soil, climate, flora, and fauna. Above all, we respect nature and use a light touch.

Minimal intervention winemaking

In the cellar, we use a light touch, to allow the natural flavours of our grapes shine in the glass. We avoid the use of additives, fining, filtration, and other treatments that could change the flavour of our wines in the cellar. We aim to faithfully preserve the fresh, naturalistic, and happy presence of our vineyards into the bottle.

Fresh, light, & elegant wines

Part of using a light touch is knowing that our wines can be impressive without being overbearing. We aim for light extraction, lower alcohol, and delicate flavours in our wines. We want you to enjoy our wines over a few glasses, not only the first sip.
